Nelson Lumber Construction was awarded the 2018 Monte Cristo Award for Rejuvenation and Transformation of a historic property in Everett.
The award was for the rehabilitation of the historic Hilzinger Home which had been vacant and blighted for nearly 20 years in North Everett’s Bayside neighborhood. The rehabilitation preserved the home’s architectural integrity while enhancing and improving the structure and integrating modern design features. Windows, doors, trim and much of the original beveled glass work was restored and integrated into the final project.
