Gary Nelson
General Manager

Gary has over 40 years of building experience and is the 3rd generation owner of Nelson Lumber Construction. In addition to his role as General Manager, Gary is a Master Carpenter and has completed projects including award winning custom homes, historic rehabilitations, apartment buildings, commercial & public buildings, and renovations.

Gary attended Western Washington University and is the regional Chairman of Habitat for Humanity.

Richard Hasslinger
Operations Manager

Richard has over 20 years of experience in construction operations and management.  Prior to joining NLC, he was Operations Manager for a Mercer Island based custom home and multi family builder.  In addition to managing day-to-day operations including business development, estimating and scheduling, Richard has successfully integrated technology platforms including project management, customer relationship management, and automated estimating software.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science from Seattle University in Economics.

Scott West
Senior Project Manager

Scott has over 40 yeas project management and operations experience as an owner operator of a successful California based general contracting business before choosing to move to the Great Pacific Northwest. Scott has completed custom homes, and a variety of commercial projects including office complexes, wineries, animal hospitals, gas stations and small shopping centers.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Ron Fridlund
Financial Director

Ron has over 35 years experience in financial management and operational experience in the construction and natural resource sector in the Pacific Northwest.Ron oversees all areas of financial reporting and control and managed the integration of financial & cost and job cost accounting software in 2018.

Ron has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting from Walla Walla University and is a native of Washington State.

Kriss Hasslinger
Office Manager

Kris has over ten years experience in financial / cost accounting and production coordination. She was previously employed with a Seattle based custom home builder where she had similar responsibilities in addition to general office management.
